Welcome to Zion UMC!
Love God, love neighbor.
It sounds like a nice little play on words like someone was sitting around one day and came up with a great saying for a church to put on its stationary. Honestly, it is. But it’s more than that.
It’s a way of life born from the idea that what Jesus taught was not just a lot of pretty words and poetic ideas, they were, and still are a Way of Life, a Way of Being, a Way to understand God and his Creation. We not only believe it, but we try to live it in our homes, our church, and our community. For us, this is a journey that we have chosen to take, following in the spiritual way of Jesus life and teachings.
And we invite you to join us.
In Grace and peace,
Pastor Michael
Over the past several weeks, our state and community have experienced a record surge of Covid-19 cases and an alarming percentage of people testing positive. In the interest of keeping our people safe, we are going to begin with online services again for January 17th and 24th. Lord willing, the numbers will subside and people will start having the opportunity to be vaccinated.
Remember, even if we aren't meeting together in a building, we are still the church: to each other, to our community, and to the world around us. Keep reaching out. Keep living the Way of Jesus. And keep safe.
Pastor Michael
The Children and Youth teachers of Zion UMC have decided that with the increased COVID-19 concerns, to return to NO in-person meetings for their age groups at this time.
Brooke and Keli will remain committed to checking in on our students and children and their families via text, email, and social media.
As always, please let us know if there is anything we can do to better serve you as the family and communtiy of Zion UMC.
Pastor Michael
